Meet Dr. Elham Danay

Dr. Elham Danay holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and has rigorous training and experience in evidence-based therapies for depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, and chronic illness. She began her training in Psychology and Social Behavior at the University of California, Irvine, earning the Exceptional Achievement in Undergraduate Research Award. Dr. Danay further honed her expertise through specialized clinical training at UCLA’s Simms/Mann Center for Integrative Oncology, where she provided psychological care to patients and families undergoing cancer treatment. Her professional achievements have been recognized through awards such as the Compassion, Dedication, and Skill Award from UCLA and the Certification of Achievement for Excellence in Therapeutic Alliance with Women of Diverse Backgrounds.
Fluent in both English and Farsi, Dr. Danay conducts therapy in both languages, prioritizing culturally sensitive care for diverse populations. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches, including breathwork techniques.
Dr. Danay enjoys working with older adults, caregivers managing stress, people coping with depression, anxiety, and grief, couples in distress, and LGBTQ+ clients. Her expertise also extends to the treatment of insomnia with CBT-I. Dr. Danay’s client-centered approach fosters resilience, emotional well-being, and holistic healing and growth.
